What to Expect

Visiting a new church can feel intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or looking for a church home in Cambridge, our goal is to make your first visit smooth, comfortable, and meaningful. You don't need to dress up or pretend to have it all together—just come as you are.

The Basics

  • Service Time: Sundays at 10:00 AM

  • Service Length: Approximately 75 minutes

  • Location: 153 Alewife Brook Parkway, Cambridge, MA 02140 (Alewife Plaza)

  • Parking: Ample free parking available directly in the plaza lot.

  • Transit: Located right across from the Alewife T Station (Red Line).

What the Service Looks Like

Heartfelt Worship

We begin our gathering with contemporary praise and worship rooted in Scripture. Our musical style is authentic and focused on drawing near to God together (James 4:8).

Verse-by-Verse Teaching

We place a high priority on studying the Bible together. Sermons walk straightforwardly through God’s Word—designed to convict, encourage, and feed your soul with practical truths for daily living.

A Diverse, Friendly Community

You will find a welcoming room filled with people of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds. We love spending time in genuine conversation before and after the service, so feel free to stick around and connect!

What to Expect When You Arrive

1. Easy Parking & Finding the Entrance

When you pull into the Alewife Plaza, head toward the far side of the building past the Summer Shack. Look for the double glass doors shared with the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. Walk right in, head up the stairs to your right, and you'll find our sanctuary doors!

2. A Warm Welcome (and Coffee!)

Our welcome team will greet you at the door, answer any quick questions, and help you find a seat. Be sure to grab a fresh cup of coffee before heading inside—there's no rush.

3. Flexible, Casual Attire

You’ll see everything from jeans and t-shirts to casual dresses and button-downs. God is far more concerned with what's in our hearts than what we wear, so wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.

Getting to Light of Life Church

Finding a new place can be tricky, but getting to Light of Life Church is simple whether you're driving or taking public transit.

  • By T (Red Line): Exit at Alewife Station onto Cambridge Park Drive. Cross the street at the crosswalk into Alewife Plaza. Pass the Summer Shack and walk to the far end of the building. Look for the double glass doors shared with the Arthur Murray Dance Studio—we are at the top of the stairs on the right!

  • By Car (Route 2 East): Follow Route 2 East to the end, exit right toward the Alewife T Station, and proceed straight through the traffic light across Cambridge Park Drive into our parking lot.

  • Free Parking: We have ample free parking available in the Alewife Plaza lot. To help our neighbors, please park toward the far end of the lot near our entrance rather than directly in front of the Summer Shack.
